The goal of all insurance agents is to be able to sell annuities, just ask them. Annuities are the most profitable product we can sell and one which has tremendous benefits for those who buy them.
The appeal of selling annuities can be irresistible, the products are valuable and beneficial, the commissions are significant and the future service commitments are low. If I make a decision to become an annuity salesperson and make them my primary market, how would I go about it? How could I find people who would buy them and get benefit from them?

Whether you’re looking for new agents or new clients, the key to finding them is effective prospecting. There are numerous ways to go about prospecting. Some of them are active methods, while others are passive. Active prospecting methods are things like Personal Observation, Public Speaking, Agent and Client Referrals, Networking, and Centers of Influence, while passive methods include using the internet, newspaper advertising and direct mail campaigns. Both passive and active prospecting will produce results, however they differ in efficiency and effectiveness – and understanding those differences will make all the difference to you and your results.

Boring copy kills your marketing message. Don’t waste valuable time and throw away your precious marketing dollars with writing as stale as day old bread. Here are 5 simple steps to jazz up your writing so readers will read it:
1. Write like you speak. The cardinal rule of copywriting, this will help you infuse new life into otherwise dead copy. If you find this challenging, then try talking aloud and recording what you’re trying to say in order to write it down later. Nine times out of ten, you’ll say it better than you’d ever write it.

In the following article, I will discuss issues in detail and give you practical advice that you can apply in your business. Now before you read any further, it is important that you start with a question and not a statement. Let me explain. It is easy to say “I have heard this before”, or “I know this”, or “This is nothing new”. Those are statements. To really understand the value, your question should be “Am I applying what Daryl is saying and, if so, how well am I applying it?” If you start with that question in your mind, you will gleam value from the following text.

I’ve had a sales career lasting over 30 years, but one summer I worked in a goldmine in northern Canada.
This is what happens in a gold mine, you dig up a lot - a real lot - of gravel and you transport it to a big sieving machine, called a Trommel, which washes and grades the material. Most of what comes out is just big rocks, which are hauled away and discarded. But there’s always a quantity of gold-bearing material which is directed down a chute into a device called a sluice box, where the gold particles collect.

There’s a park I walk through on the way home each day. It used to be a very pretty park with vast areas of green freshly clipped grass, commemorative benches with gleaming plaques, pristine toilets that won countless awards, trees that have been there for decades and freshly painted playground equipment for the kids to climb over.
About a year ago I happened to notice that one of the windows of the toilets had been smashed, I could have been wrong, but it looked like someone had thrown a stone through it. I tutted to myself and continued on my way. The next day as I was walking, I noticed that someone had added to the broken window with another and someone else had scrawled their name next to it in giant, sprayed on letters.
